Probably the best curry house in New York City ...try the Lasanu Gobi - Cauliflower to die for and also the Chicken Tikka Masala and my Fav the Lamb Vindalooo. The Phaal is not for the fainthearted !
While it is definitely delicious don't order saag paneer when you are with a group of friends post beer heavy football match. They will make fun of you for being a veggie even if you are a carnivore.
The Phaal seriously hurt me but it was well worth it. I am seasoned chili freak too so don't try it unless you have a gut of steel! The rest of the menu is amazing too. Great service also. 10/10!!!
The food here is fantastic. The Fish Moilee, the Aloo Gobi and the garlic naan are all amazing. A little more expensive than 6th St but worth it.
The lunch buffet , seven days a week, gets you unlimited scoops of chicken tikka masala , tandoori chicken and a rotating selection of other flavorful curry dishes . Read more
$15 all you can eat buffet , fresh nan when you get back to your table waiting, can't go wrong with that~
For gluten-free options, try: the pakoras , (which are friend in chickpea batter), and the balti, or the meat sizzler (lamb chop , chicken , and shammi kebabs ).
This is your place if you enjoy spicy food with good flavor. Great buffet where you get the opportunity to try all of their dishes.
Best saag paneer I've had, and if you like it spicy just ask for fresh chillies . The raita was also thick and super tasty.
Known for their 'spiciest curry ever' gimmick, this spot stands out from many of the others on the East Village 's Indian restaurant row.
Can't go wrong with the chicken tikka + saag paneer combo
Not only was the food amazing but I have very annoying allergies and they specially made my dish! The waiters were really friendly and on top of everything. Highly recommend.
Try the hot Phaal if you think you can take the heat! One of the hottest food I ever tasted!
Happy Hour 4-7pm Sunday-Wed and after 11pm on Thurs-Saturday. Cheap draft beer , wine and cocktails .
If you have a strong constitution, try the Phaal – an excruciatingly hot curry . Otherwise, the Chicken Tikka Masala is a safe bet, paired with Sesame Naan .
Always delicious. Can't go wrong with any dish. Great lunch deal as well .
Our favorite casual and laid back indian spot in the whole city . This place is the real deal - think less frills and more explosive flavors.
Best lunch in the area. Great ambiance. Friendly staff . Awesome for dinner too!
Often need a reservation to get in, but it's some of the best Indian food in NYC. Don't miss the naan .
The buffet was great! Lots of good food for just $10. The cheapest bill we've had so far in NYC
Great new lunch specials (as of June 2019)
Delicious! The chicken korma was perfection. A little pricey but the quality was worth it!
Great food, ambiance and service! I must return to try more dishes!
Lunch buffet was great value . Nothing special but still delicious - and filling of course.
The Vindaloo is amazing. It's also incredibly spicy . If you want to sweat, I highly recommend it.
The best Indian place on 6th Ave. Brunch buffet is an especially good deal .
Delicious food and nice people. The atmosphere is endearing.
I've never come across Rosemary Nan before. A delicious and unique take.

Regardless if you fall for Phaal, the spice is always nice here.
Spice-addicts will want to opt for the phaal curry challenge, but the poor quality of all other dishes is a drawback to the first visit.

The lunch time buffet is totally worth it if you like Indian food .
Great local Indian Restaurant try the shrimp app and chicken curry
Can't go wrong with the Tandori Chicken and Lamb Chops !
Great British style Indian food
New location. Can't go wrong with the food here.
Beware of the phaal sauce! Although very good, only for expert Indian foodies.
Really expensive and serve really small portions. After spending over $35 I was still hungry!!
If u love spice n spicy ...this is the place to be ;)
Recommendation: Phaal Curry (1 million Scoville scale)

Try the Korma . It won't disappoint.
The phaal will tear your ass up
Buffet options are very good.
The lunch buffet definitely falls in to the "too good to be true" category!
Lunch buffet is a great deal but they had only one meat dish (chicken ) and were very slow to bring it out.
British style Indian food at its best!
Garlic stuffed nann has too much garlic . Liked sesame nan a lot
From the owners of Dhaba (best indian in NYC), this is the best restaurant on Curry row. Lots of coastal curries you won't normally find. The more spicy and coconut-y, the better. - Noah Weiss
$10.95 lunch buffet is delicious and definitely more than worth the price. Naan, 2 kinds of rice, 3 veggie and 2 chicken options. Plus 5 chutneys! - Casey Schoonover
They have some of the best vegan flavors in the city! Try the Ovenly chocolate chip cookie. - stephanie mckissick
