Friendly chk in staff . Rooms reasonably large and has big comfy beds . Toilets clean and spacious . Less than 10mins walk to shopping street and China town .

Location is the best in the city on Collins st with every luxury brand next to it. All the top restaurants within 5min walks. Sadly the toilets are old and trying to get the right water temp is hard

Pay the $20 and upgrade from the club breakfast to the breakfast in the foyer. It's worth it. Amazing variety and quality of food

One of the only 5 star hotels in Melbourne with co joining rooms. We stay here regularly with the 3 kids in the room attached. The service, room quality and price are excellent.

Decadent atmosphere, beautiful lounges and friendly valet attendant. The city virw is beautiful on level 30, but uncomfortable hearing noisy plumbing in rooms.

Exceptional staff . Goes beyond what is required of them to get what you want. Absolutely love this hotel .

Located on the 31st floor, the Club Lounge has a great view of Melbourne city . Decent continental breakfast , very appley Bircher muesli .

Compared to the lounge at Park Hyatt , this lounge is bigger, has better view and breakfast . During the canapés hour, this place becomes noisy , and inelegant. The canapés are average and often run out.

If you are a lone female traveller, request for a room on the female floor with the Front Office. It should generally be all female.

Make sure u visit the gym ! Most amazing hotel gym ever.

Compared to the Park Hyatt , Grand is decidedly more businessy. It is modern but less private and lacks a personal touch.

$40 for a full breakfast is a little rich given it's limited buffet . Also closing breakfast at 1030am on a Sunday not very smart...

Do not get a room close to the elevator or fire doors. It is too noisy . Rooms ending in *14 are the enemy.
