San Francisco / Sausalito Ferry

Getting a Ferry from the ferry building to larkspur or Sausalito is one of the cheapest and best ways to experience the San Francisco Bay , see all the bridges and Alcatraz . It’s only $6-7 each way.

One of the best way to spent 6,5$ (it is cheaper if you use Clipper instead of buying single ticket). Beautiful views from the boat

Huge line , especially on the sunny weekend day but offeres great view of SF and Alcatraz .

The Sausalito ferry docks at different places. Blue & Gold docks at fisherman's wharf . Golden gate ferry docks at the Market St.

The staff were assholes on how to store the bike on the rack and supposedly they take responsibility if stolen (since they said don't use lock). Also check if your boat goes to Ferry Bldg or Wharf !!!

Don't rush in the summertime to catch the boat. Will wait for tourists and their bikes to exit back in San Francisco.

If you want food or a beer bring cash. Bikes are always on the lower deck. You will be carrying it down the stairs.

Adults, save big money by purchasing a "senior" ticket. Nobody's checking when you tap your ticket to board. :)
