Beautiful hotel and comfortable accommodation . Immediate proximity to Union Square and the buzz of the city . Beware - internet connection is appalling and not suited to the business traveller.
The hotel was originally built in 1907, they have all the classic details displayed for you, it's like a hotel/museum. Location is GREAT right in front of union square.
The many historical displays In the lobby as well as menus books and other items from the turn-of-the-century are truly a great way to spend About half an hour.
The front entry is so glamorous. Marble with such a detailed ceiling... I read the history of this hotel and it is pretty great. Check out its Wilkipedia page.
Decent remodeled rooms that are a tad on the small side. Comfortable Westin beads. The Clock bar is one of the best in the Westin system. A busy hotel . Check in can take a awhile.
I never stayed here but I've gone to a lot of events here like fashion shows at the very top penthouse or just hung out at the Clock Bar . This hotel however has a lot of history.
The Westin St. Francis is celebrating their 110th Anniversary. Drop by during lunch for free historic bites & take a tour of the hotel 's rooms normally not accessible for all. Mon, 7/21, 1-2pm, free. Read more
One of the best hotels in SF . nice gym , bars , restaurant . Rooms are quiet even above union square. Recently remodeled and it shows.
Walk past the reception, make a left and ride the glass elevator for the best views overlooking the bay . Then hit the Clock Bar for an inventive cocktail – try the Hawaii 5.1.
A solidly convenient location. Interesting characters in the hotel bar . High ceilings in the rooms make them feel more luxurious .
Location is awesome, surrounded by premium designers boutiques and dep stores. room service is excellent the only down side is that rooms needs better sound proofing
A Perfect little comfort within everything you'll want to explore. With @starbucks to start my day I'll admit I loved this place..
This hotel has mixed reviews online but I've had a great experience so far. Stay in a high floor in the tower wing facing Union Square; rooms are newer and have great views .

Charming hotel with exceptional customer service. From the front desk, concierge , maid service to the door men...all ready and willing to serve and please their guests. Loved my week long stay.
Huge hotel means big gym and big bars and restaurants on site in tourist central area. Small rooms though.
Has a Hertz counter in the lobby, which is choice. Other than that, your standard tired Westin. Get a room on a high floor and you'll have a nice view of Union Square and the water.
If you stay only for two night take the green choice and don't get room service . You get to choose between free wifi , bonus points or a free movie I think. Plus you get a $5 voucher for food/drinks
The glass elevator ride is something special. Head down the hallway opposite reception and ride any car to the 32nd floor .
As Charles Turner grew up in San Francisco, he exhibited the business savvy and confidence that would make him a successful investor and business leader in the area later in life.
I always opt for a room in the old part of the hotel , so charming! High ceilings , spacious rooms and chandeliers
Take the tour with the hotel historian. It’s really fascinating.

Classic, clean hotel with a decent view . Convenient location. Gym is not bad - lots of elliptical and treadmill .
So, so crowded . Location is "great" if you want to be in the middle of Union Sq. with thousands of other tourists .
Cool they allow 3 devices to connect to Internet per room, if u ever wondered if u will get charged for connecting 2..and it shows up while connecting how many active connections r present
Nothing like ending the night with an absinthe from The Clock Bar . Professionals only please... And you'll still probably want to head up to your room before you finish it ...
Historic hotel and it knows it. I went for the history and I'll be back. Staff = excellent. Weekends = great deals
Good place to stay on Union Square (albeit pricey ). Close to restaurants , shops, convenient stores , etc.
Nice Starbucks in the lobby with up-market seating area and free Wi-Fi. Perfect for a casual meeting!
Centre of the city - Union Sq. It's a heritage hotel . Free Wifi in the lobby. Lots of shopping stores around the hotel .
Make sure to check out this place from the ceiling to the floor. Beautiful architecture and detail.
Beautiful architecture , worth getting a room in the tower for the elevator views
The elevator ride is amazing- if you can get a room key to use it. Try going all the way to the top to check out the view .
Great location for shopping.

Best location of the hotel in SF , comfort and reasonable price
Huge hotel , crowded with tourist . Perfect location in Union square (shopping area).
Take the glass elevator to the 32nd floor . Marvel at the views of spectacular San Francisco!
The gym is ridiculously tiny and always packed, fork over cash an go to Equinox on pine street instead it's worth it
Its really nice and comfy , amazing views and location ????????
it's a must...to visit, grab a coffee , pastry , happy hour , dinner , breakfast.Amazing service, the restaurants offer a great excellent service
Loved the in room dining. All the staff is very accommodating and friendly .
Centrally located on union square but the rooms are lacking a bit. Service was good, gym is nice and very clean though. Overnight parking is a bit absurd at $58/night for guests.
Some great views , but it can be loud and crowded . If you get a room up high it’s nice.

Dont expect your typical Spg/Westin experience...the staff has a lot to learn about customer service...but the building has awesome history and character
Ask for an upper floor room with a view !
Even if you're not staying at the hotel , ride the glass elevators up to the top for great views overlooking Union Square. Come back and do it again at night.
I’ve been a VS shopper for more than 15 years and have witnessed the brand’s decline. The store is rundown with very few staff and lots of closed off parts. Wondering if it will go bankrupt soon - Floor B
