There is a metro station in front of the church . You don't have to climb the stairs if you are not capable. It's worth to look at the streets on the fist balcony .
They are steps and they are in movies . It can get loud here with Spanish chanting and people being patriotic. Go super late at night when empty for better view
You must visit the steps at night very romantic ????
First thing visited in Rome. Great for photos, when it's not raining, you can sit for a while & enjoy a delicious tiramisu from nearby pompi . On the top, there is a also church.Definately a must see!
The best thing you can do here ..is to go to the rooftop bar and enjoy the Spanish Steps views drinking a glass of wine . Comfortable , nobody will put his selfie stick before your face here????

Crowded placebos the heart of rome. Nice flair, view above the city - perfect at sunset ! Beware of rose seller, annoying.
Was closed due to maintenance however nice view from the top amazing buildings and atmosphere
Spanish steps had a great atmosphere and environment. Try to not run down the steps they are very slippery. Next to there is a great gelato place that is worth having. Expensive but great????????
At the foot of the steps there is a fountain built by Gian Lorenzo Bernini and uses Acqua Vergine aqueduct, as the water pressure here is low, Bernini designed the fountain to be a sinking boat.
Too many people... So many you cannot actually see the steps. The church on the top of the hill is quite impressive so is the view from up there. Getting down to the square you reach a shopping area.
Long staircase linking the Trinity Mountains and the Piazza di Spagna. Typical construction representing the Roman monumentality of the eighteenth century! We keep fit by mounting them!
Called “Spanish Steps” cos the Spanish embassy was located at the base of the stairs in the 17th century. Official name is “Scalinata di Trinità dei Monti”. Source: romesite.com, Wikipedia
I wondered why we were going to see some steps! Quite amazing though, and worth a visit. Photo is from the bottom and from the top
If you don’t want to walk back up, you don’t have to. Take the elevator in the Metro station to the left of the steps all the way up.
Beautiful place to sit and watch people walking around
If planning to go here, best to early morning, just like in any other tourist spots in the city . People start to flock in the area from 8:00am, onwards, until the evening.
A must on any tour of Rome! Don't expect too much to do or buy but it's certainly worth a visit to say, "hey, I was there!" ????????????
Day or night there is always something going on - this evening a young lady burst into song and entranced everyone for 10 minutes and then just disappeared into the crowd.
Suuuper busy but nice. Pop in at Pompi near by to have the best Tiramisu !
Very croweded during the day. But its a place you must see. And the streets around the monument are beautiful.
was nice! very good views . Just too many people trying to sell you stuff. Let me enjoy the view !
Always overcrowded. Sacre Coeur steps in Paris are more worth it. Coming from me, hating Paris, loving Rome.
when u re near Spanish steps u should visit Pompi to get the most delicious tiramisu in the world!????☝️
Beautiful view from the top of the stairs.
If you don’t grab a gelato and sit on the steps like Audrey Hepburn, you’re doing it wrong.
Just love it! Full of people, full of life from morning till late night !
Not much to see or do here. Still a great place to visit If you're in Rome. Just to say that you've you've been there. It's the widest staircase in Europe.
I don't know why these stairs are so popular, in any case, one is right here if one wants to see many tourists bunched together.
A great opportunity for panoramic photos of the surrounding area.
he monumental stairway of 138 steps was built with French diplomat Étienne Gueffier’s bequeathed funds of 20000 scudi in 1723–1725, linking the Bourbon Spanish Embassy and the Trinità dei Monti church
spent my birthday in the mid night in Spanish stairs. Quiet beautiful and memorable
I love the steps, the view and the whole neighborhood !
Currently being cleaned so the entire area is shut off.
We don’t understand the appeal of sitting on the things but it’s a good place to use as a starting point to walk around.
Popular place, you know, from the movies . It's nice for chillin' and has a nice view from top.
A very crowded historical place, it is very hard to take foto and selfies. Go at down.
Come in the morning, walk all the way up and go into the Villa Bouguise park !
Spanish steps! Great view ! Watch out for the street sellers. Very pushy!
Always very busy but a must see.
All tourist have to go here, just to be on top of the steps and see people everywhere!
Very beautiful and nice place. The concerts are done there as well
The view from the bottom is better than the view from the top!
the famous "spanish steps"...this is the place you go for the scenic views of the tourists shopping on Via Condotti. Pretty fun hangout spot .
Lovely setting first sight seeing in Rome and worth it.
Such a nice view of the city at the top!
The stairway is being renovated currently but you van see it through the fence
A busy tourist site - just some steps really but good people watching
Live happy positive vibes. Watch out for your belongings
Super crowded ! Not sure what the big deal is ;). They’re just steps. Tourist sight I suppose, lots of shopping around here too.
Amazing and awesome. A must in Rome. But every time it is very crowded especially on Sunday's. - Yasin Candemir
Spacious place, you can spend whole day there exploring the ruins, going up to several sightseeing spots. Must see in Rome - Julia Kryvomaz
a perfect getaway place to walk your dog or play some outdoor games. Picnic? I would suggest bring some wine, cheese and relax. - Asta Umbrasaite
Most amazing and beautiful fountain! A must see of rome. The size is impressive. Newly remodeled. Always a crowd around is the only negative. - Sofia Cabrita
Nice view, close to metro, close to stairs on hill nearby with great view od Rome and Vatican - Tin Pavlić
