The menu here is very unique, especially compared to the other high end restaurants in the area. Don't miss the chicken skins . The pork chop was huge and came with the best peach & bbq coleslaw ever.
Gourmet southern fare at the most in demand spot in town . Burger was good but not amazing (and no Dijon in the House!). Shrimp and grits and rice pie ftw
Fried Chicken Skins with hot sauce and honey ; The Husk Burger , possibly the finest burger in the South; a side of skillet cornbread with Allan Benton’s bacon . the veggie plate .
Infamously blended with bacon (see a full rundown on what this entails), the burger at Sean Brock 's Husk in Charleston is a pilgrimage to be made by any burger fanatic.
Incredible meal. One of the best steaks , best grilled cheese , and peanutbutter cup desserts I’ve ever had. All the other items incredible too - crouton salad in particular.
I would recommend something specific but the menu changes every day! The charming atmosphere and quality local ingredients means you can't go wrong when choosing something to eat.
Everything was amazing - from the lunch menu , nonetheless! Pork belly lettuce wrap , shrimpngrits, flat iron and pheasant (yes - for 2 ppl). Everything blew our mind, and we have high expectation.
Best restaurant in Charleston! Had one of the best dishes I've ever had (Sous vide Pork Shoulder + Pork Belly )! Switch the menu 2x daily. Pig 's ears are a regular item and are amazing!
Husk aspires to the heartiest of home cooking , assuming that the home’s kitchen has access to rare ingredients like Carolina Gold rice and flowering basil , almost entirely from local farms . Read more
Eat here as often as possible: shrimp n grits or burger at lunch , crispy pig ears lettuce wraps + wood fired mussels to start at din. Can't go wrong w any of the entrees.
And the award for most curb appeal goes to…Husk in Charleston, which is located inside a renovated Southern home dating back to 1893. There’s no better place to feast on cornmeal-dusted catfish . Read more
For diners jonesing for Northern-style wings , chef Sean Brock offers an alternative: hot wing–inspired "Buffalo" Pig 's Ear Lettuce Wraps served with sweet vinegar–marinated cucumbers and red onions . Read more
Lucky to have gotten a reservation here for lunch . The food was incredible. Probably the best chicken wings I’ve ever had. Drinks were great, too!
After a whiskey cocktail at Husk Bar , head to dinner in the neighboring historic house, with a romantic two-story porch and a floor-to-ceiling chalkboard highlighting regional farmers and purveyors.
The menu changes daily but everything we had was outstanding. Best steak I've had in a long time, the punch drinks were mellow and tasty.
The leg of duck is probably the most savory dish I've ever had. So much flavor. The pig ears are a great starter. After dinner , head to the bar next door for awesome cocktails . Open until midnight.
While Husk was really good I definitely didn't think it was top 15 in the country good. The chicken skins and fried pig ear appetizers were definitely both outstanding.
Fabulous. Husk's reputation is well deserved. All the ingredients are farm-to-table. The buttered lettuce wraps with pig ears was delicious. My shrimp and grits was the best I have had.
I really loved the pimento cheese crostinis ! I was a bit restricted to order since I can’t have pork , most of the food uses pork . But the shrimp and grits were good.
If you come to Charleston you HAVE to eat here at least once or three times. Start with the Dragoon Punch or a cider wine . Food and service are top notch served in an older beautiful building.
The Carolina Gold Rice "Risotto " w/ Roasted Fennel and Tomatoes , English Pea Pesto is hands-down the best rice dish I have ever had! Ask for Travis. He gives impeccable service !
burger is solid (served as a double w bacon mixed into the patties). only served in main restaurant until 230p and in the bar next door after 4p. great whiskey / bourbon list .
Mile Zero cocktail is a great 'not your average' light summer cocktail , and the red snapper entree is delicious. Try to get a table on the upper porch - Relaxing, candlelit atmosphere
Try the Husk cheeseburger . I was surprised I ordered it (as there are many great unique things on the menu), but our server recommended it. I was glad I did!!!!
Get a dish with Carolina Gold rice , it's the best rice I've ever had. This is not an edgy place; really good meal, really good ingredients, cool setting.
We had the cheeseburger - which is a must if you've never had it! The rest of the menu looked awesome! The drink menu was also very creative! We will return.
My partner got the red snapper and loved it. I get that it's a rotating seasonal menu but it's still hard for me to think the quality of the meal justifies the tiny expensive portion they give you.
Everything is awesome!!! But the general tso's pig ears are out of this world!!! Be sure to have them and the duck confit .
Good dinner , but great brunch ! Free bubbly if it’s a special occasion
It's impossible to ignore the place where Sean Brock cooks with his heart. It's all Southern, all the time. [Eater 18 Member]
The signature Husk cheeseburger , a kind of haute upgrade of In-N-Out's, comprises different cuts of meat, Brock's secret sauce, pickles , and melted cheese , and is worth every calorie. Read more
great dinner and wonderful menu. Really felt like we were eating authentic regional cousin and it was great! Wait staff was wonderful and wine list was great - reasonable.
One of the best meals of my life. The oysters , pig ear lettuce cups , and duck entree were standouts.
Shrimp and grits for lunch were perfect in flavor and portion. The pimiento cheese crostini was luxurious !
The Atlantic grouper and heritage pork entrees are fantastic; be sure to try The Bucket List cocktail , which is bourbon-based with cold brewed coffee !
Don't come here and not get the grits , you'll regret it! The fried chicken was equally outstanding!
Food was fantastic - fried chicken skins were delicious and perfect for anyone who believes skin is the best part of the chicken , but a generous portion means it's a better choice for larger groups.
The bourbon selection is the best in Charleston, which is why it’s on our list of The Tastes That Make the City : Charleston. Read more
this was the best dinner i had in in charleston. fresh ingredients . creative dishes. great service. everything was amazing.
Long wait but totally worth it. Have a drink at the bar before your meal. Fried chicken skins with spicy honey are to die for.
Chicken skins , pork ribs , fish on corn floor.. all good. Is it worth waiting one month in a waiting list? No
Grilled oysters , chicken skins , grilled fish , great staff , Southern architecture
The menu changes daily, so it's hard to make entree recommendations, but you shouldn't miss the cornbread , which is out of this world!
Make your reservations 3 months in advance! Seriously!
This is one of my favorite restaurants . Every meal I've had there has been just fabulous.
This might be one of the best meals I've ever eaten. I also love the little baskets the bread comes in. I ha the red porgy and clams ...flavor to die for.
Think about ordering 3-4 small plates and splitting an entree. Fried pig 's ear was a favorite for us!
Get the pig ears . They're bacon 's more complex cousin–with the same smoky flavor and crisp chew–pressure cooked for 90 minutes, sliced into thin strips, smoked for several hours, and then deep fried.
You're not going to go wrong here with anything, but don't miss the fried chicken skins . Their sazerac is also damn mighty fine.
Ask for "the Love" now on draft ! It's a German style Hefe by Starr Hill Brewery in Charlottesville Va. They have Northern Lights IPA in the bottle as well ! Enjoy
