Comfy , wider seats with drink holders downstairs but view may be better from upstairs as screen is higher than usual. Really a matter of personal preference. Outside food allowed.

Sue Holland

One of the only theatres in Toronto that's licensed!!! Kick back and enjoy a beer or glass of wine while you watch your flick :)

John Diogenous

The perfect way to spend an evening. We should all be so proud that our city has such a lively cultural atmosphere. Visit this incredible theatre and SUPPORT HOT DOCS!

Jason Stathopulos

For best viewing head to the balcony as the main floor is below the screen

Alina D

Deceiving from the outside - old but amazingly clean inside and quite spacious plus seats are quite new, too.

Kevin Ng

Excellent old skool movie theatre. A throwback to what was once the norm. Old style seating, a balcony , they even have a stage in front of the screen. Very cool, and hip place to see movies . Great Read more

Andrea Zadro

The only decent seats are on the main floor anywhere from the third row from the back to the twelfth. Anywhere else and the screen is cut off or you'll have to strain your neck to see the film .

TIFF

Home of our Vanguard and documentary films , we think our audience will love seeing smart, hip Festival films in a grand neighbourhood cinema .

Connie Crosby

Need more room? There are extra-wide seats on the ends of some rows in the balcony . On the main level, arm rests can be moved up out of the way.

Doors Open Toronto

Did you know that this building was originally built in 1913 and then demolished and rebuilt in 1941? Come visit us during Doors Open on May 25-26th, 2013.

Amazing indie movie theater where you can drink beer while watching!

Terrence Clark

Today’s movie My Generation was very good but reminded me of many of the things I missed out on.

Gavin McGarry

Beware the balcony . They serve alcohol at the bar downstairs and by the end of a movie drunk idiots are a chattin' at the screen ;-)

Tim Crook

Lovely old theatre that shows great independent films and double-features.

TIFF

Food trucks will be outside this venue from September 7-16 for the Toronto International Film Festival . Grab a gourmet snack before or after you catch a film .

Josh Holliday

Love the Bloor, and new documentary programming, but having the screen so high is a colossal design failure.

Jordan Smith

For ultra comfy seats , hit up the first floor. For optimum viewing , nab the front row in the balcony .

Judith Patterson

Great neighbourhood cinema , old, bit worn, but charming, always a good line-up of films and fun theme evenings (Rocky Horror, Oscars evening, etc).

Shelsey Quintino

Awsome throwback, exciting and new adding a lot of character to the neighbourhood!

Tiina Jenkins

Great seats. Especially on thw balcony .

Tim King

Good popcorn . Lower seats much more bum friendly with more leg room.

Chris Davies

Theater staff are really helpful and friendly
