A hidden gem . Great architecture (open air spaces, peaceful sculpture garden ) and beautiful pieces thoughtfully laid out, showcasing Noguchi as a subtle master of material and texture.

A tranquil gem and a getaway from NY's hustle. Two floors of beautiful sculptures with a gorgeous outdoor yard. This fairly large museum is 'food for the soul' if you're into sculpture or abstract art

Emily Wilson

A beautiful and relaxing place to visit. Noguchi's sculptures are both minimalistic and emotive. It's even nice in the winter time even though part of the museum is outdoors.

Marie La Rue

Serene space in the heart of an industrial neighborhood . Collection of sculptures evocative of tranquility and calmness . Sit in the garden on and reflect while listening to your surroundings.

Bokyung Park

The ambiance of the entire museum is incredibly tranquil especially looking outside of the garden from the museum gives you such comfort and healing

Martina Caruso

Stunning museum . The building was designed to include both galleries with sculptures and a more intimate Japanese-style garden . A really magic place.

David Rosenberg

A wonderful museum perfect for sunny and rainy days alike. The documentary playing on loop by the elevator on the second floor is a great primer, maybe start there.

Pio Rasch-Halvorsen

Fantastic museum , created by the artist himself! The permanent sculpture exhibition is serene , and the second floor holds seasonal exhibits .

Nuff

An excellent museum . Beautiful, cohesive collection of sculpture , lighting and architecture .

Minhee Cho

It’s a much smaller museum than I expected. Admission is free on the first Friday of the month though (and pretty reasonably priced regardless: $10).

Brandon F.

Come see the most influential works throughout Noguchi’s life and learn about the man who persevered where most would have given up. Beautiful space — but come on a sunny day.

Matthew Barnett

Having worked there for over a year, I always told visitors to visit the garden last. Great coffee and food in the cafe , and the big sofa in the cafe will get you the best view of the garden .

A walk-through gives you the sense of floating on your back in a large, boundless ocean. I credit this feeling to either Zen or some kind of piped-in hallucinatory gas. Read more

Dreamy. We were there for about an hour, but could easily spend longer if you’re feeling like your most inquisitive self.

Ross Brown

Staggeringly lovely space, peaceful environment , and the work shows the mastery of an artist in love with his materials.

Alex Robertson

I said it once I'll say it again modern sculpture is not my thing but the garden here is really dope. go!

Teachers College Student Affairs

If you want a little background on the exhibits , you'll want to show up for the guided tour at 2pm (Noguchi liked his pieces displayed unaccompanied by titles or text).

To walk through the museum’s tranquil sculpture garden with someone you love is a rare treat. Later, sip exotic cocktails at Dutch Kills (27-24 Jackson Ave.), an artsy watering hole.

Take a stroll in the garden , let the nature and sculptures sway you into serenity .

Stephanie

Impeccable space and collection. Absolutely have a long sit in the beautiful sculpture garden .

Richard Lowry

It was set up in an abandoned factory space in Ravenswood, Queens by Japanese sculptor Isamu Noguchi (1904-1988) in 1985. It currently hosts an exhibition on the future of Ravesnwood.

This is a indoor outdoor museum so pick a day with nice weather so you can enjoy the sculptures in the outdoors. There are also performances here so check their calendar.

Only $5 with student id. Gorgeous sculpture garden .

Make your day even classier by visiting the nearby Costco for a 1.50 hot dog combo !

Cool point: The OTHER Noguchi Museum is a studio and garden in the village of Mure on the Japanese island of Shikoku.
