SculptureCenter is a not-for-profit arts institution dedicated to experimental and innovative developments in contemporary sculpture.
44-19 Purves St (at Jackson) Long Island City , NY 11101 United States
The SculptureCenter, set in an old trolley-repair shop, was significantly overhauled in fall with a new lobby, expanded gallery space, and enclosed courtyard area for outdoor exhibitions and events
It’s a wonderful place to spend 1-2 hours for a dose of fascinating art , especially when you’re time staved. Due to the generosity of private donors, admission is free!
Always a good place to see something new. Sit in the rock court, listen to a sound installation, or check out some large scale sculpture depending what they've got going on. Don't miss the basement !
This old factory is one of the most underrated spots to see new art in the city . Make sure to head to the dark, danky basement below.
Basement . That's all you need to know.
Basement is creepster.
Cultura é muito bom
A hidden gem. Great architecture (open air spaces, peaceful sculpture garden) and beautiful pieces thoughtfully laid out, showcasing Noguchi as a subtle master of material and texture. - Marius Watz
It's not unusual to see a few Ninjas here on summer weekends. Cool art music beer... what's not to like? - Bonobos
The ArtAccess program is among the best art classes I have attended. Very good techniques, and sometimes educational too. Would most certainly recommend to anyone in the area who may be interested. - Eric Edmondson
Friendly staff with phenomenal drinks. They have a selective bourbon collection that'll make you blush. Get the old fashioned. - Humayun Rashid
Love this park????. It's clean and pretty!! not overly crowded. - Siju ????????????
Pretty much everything I’ve missed about independent book stores, plus not cramped! - Scott of Atlanta
