Shark's Cove is a beach North Shore Hale‘iwa located in United States.
Kamehameha Hwy. Hale‘iwa , HI 96712 United States
Beautiful. Good beginner scuba diving spot & place to take little ones to swim since it’s a shallow tide pool next to a beach . There’s a full basketball court & decent bathrooms there as well .
A fantastic spot in the summer for scuba , snorkelling & just enjoying the shallow waters . In the winter, it turns into a majestic backdrop for pounding north shore waves (abide by the warning signs!)
If you're looking for a place to snorkel and see fish , this is it. There are a lot of rocks as you first get into the water so it's sometimes helpful to bring water shoes so you don't cut your feet.
Great snorkel spot ! Rent gear from the shop across the street and they'll tell you the safest way to get in and out of the water. We saw two turtles and an octopus ! So keep your eyes peeled :)
Beware the right side - you'll see more sea life but the waves & coral are absolutely brutal + unforgiving. Do not go in if there are crazy waves ! The left part is calmer. Also watch for sea urchins .
Amazing snorkel and scuba spot. Get there early as crowds build up quickly. Water shoes are recommended for traversing the rocks
Where I had my first and second open water dive lessons and it was amazing. Just watch out when getting and out of the water, the rock can really leave a few scratches on you
I should have looked at the tips, I did not wear any water shoes . My feet got all cut up :( Be aware of the sea urchins ! Will come back since it's still a beautiful spot to snorkel .
Good snorkeling , but it can get crowded . The cove is very shallow and walkable all around. Just make sure not to walk on the coral.
A perfect place to take your kids on the north shore. The rocks break the waves and create a serene pool for you to float in.
Great fun. Often rocky places, lots of urchins , including black ones. Watch the center inlet for ocean water coming in as it produces a very strong center channel current that's hard to swim against.
While we were there in a stormy day, the waves were gorgeous. Even if it's raining, still worth a visit.
Cool snorkeling here, lots of sea life & some turtles . Swim out slowly on your belly to avoid getting scratched by the coral.
Wonderful for snorkeling and diving. Make sure you bring water shoes for sharp rocks, and I suggest going in on the sides rather than the center.
Lock up your valuables. Put them in the trunk of your car and don't leave anything on the beach and you will have an awesome time. If you can bring water shoes do so lots of sharp rocks!
It’s a fun spot to snorkel . Just don’t go out to the open water when the waves are strong. You might want water shoes . Bring your snorkel gear .
Flip flops are not sufficient for proper exploring; bring water shoes . Rocks are very sharp. Good shallow water snorkeling .
Look out for sea urchins and sea cucumbers .
Bring water shoes , it's rocky! Doesnt look like much, but keep swimming/wading out, its a gem!! Bring your snorkel mask and float around! Just be careful for giant waves over the cove!!
Don't let the name fool you. The 3 stories I've heard about how this site got its name range from "To scare the tourist off" to "It's shaped like a shark". Very safe and very beautiful site.
Awesome place for snorkeling ! Beautiful fish that swim right with you and sometimes a turtle or two!
Bring snorkel equipment and aqua shoes and a water resistant camera , its like a rocky pool...
Hawaii Eco dives is fantastic! Was debating the cost of snorkeling vs diving-do the dive! Especially is you have an underwater camera .
Snorkeling . Bring water shoes to get down to the water. Not the easiest place to get in, but lots of fish .
Beautiful place to watch sunset ????
Good for family and beginner!
Beautiful sunsets and waves crashing against the lava rock cove.
Interesting rock erosion great view of waves breaking against the cove wall
The beach is really rocky but once you get out there and start snorkeling it's super worth it! Also saw people scuba diving here.
I swam over the "wall" into the seaward side- bigger fish and a TURTLE!!!
Bring your own aqua booties to avoid getting cut on the coral or slipping on them with your snorkel fins like I did!
Walk around to the left through the tide pools for a small cliff jump and deeper water snorkeling !
Very nice but you should come early to get parking !
Amazing view great place to photograph !
Excellent snorkeling .
I would snorkel at three tables just south of here instead. More fish and easier to get in the water
Best snorkeling we did on the North Shore
Great place for see little fishes
Make sure you come when the tide is fairly high. Great snorkeling !
Wow. Just incredible to just watch the waves !
Get there early to find parking and don't park on the left side unless you want a ticket.
Like a giant pool for kids
Great for kids. Natural formation
Don't go during low tide, it becomes a wading pool.
No sharks but nice cove
Great snorkel spot
The best snorkeling and diving site in the island
It's also a nice place to watch the sunset .
Two lava tube dives, with Galla
Go early, hella crowded
So beautiful and quaint. Saw so many surfers far into the ocean. I didn't have a chance to go late in the afternoon to see the turtles sleeping but I did get to see them swimming near the rocks! - Jess Kono
Good tide pools to the left, good snorkeling and diving in the cove. Great place for a beginner scuba diver to practice--wide and sandy bottom to play over. Fun for night dives with a full moon! - AlohaKarina ????????????
Stayed in a beach house right on the Pipeline. It was beautiful and peaceful. Watching surfing all day long. - Marcy Maxwell
During winter the surf is great, during summer the sunset! - Christoffer Engström
