Holy Cow! Clean rooms and good restaurant service but the garbage truck , delivery trucks and anything else that beeps, will wake you up starting at 4am!
Happy and courtious faces at the front desk. Caring housekeepers. Convenient vallet parking and the informative bellmen. Its a great experience that we will cherish for a long time. Thanks.
Embassy Suites is always good but this is in a great location close to Metro Station and everything else downtown Washington. They really pump out for breakfast too. The staff is really great there.
Great hotel to stay at if you're in town for an event . It's only 2 blocks away from the convention center .
Wow. Pay phones. Get in the elevator in the lobby. Face the rear doors and press Ll. head towards the restrooms . You'll see the pay phones before you get there.
Nice hotel with friendly staff ! If they only offer wired in-room internet they need to set up a 2nd line in the bedroom! Desk in parlor area is NOT comfortable !!! Always a loooong line for breakfast !
The staff are so friendly here! Clean rooms , decent food, and little shop with snacks , drinks, etc. Decent fitness center .
Happy Hour was off the chain, cook to order breakfast was a plus, be prepared to pay $75.00 per day for incidentals @ check-in on top of your hotel rate .
Public parking across the street for 24 dollars a day weekdays and 12 on weekends. Better than the 35 the hotel charges.
Kid friendly , great complimentary HH and breakfast .
Perks: managers special free cocktails and beer 530-730 nightly, free cooked to order breakfast 630-930am. Downsides: even numbered rooms face another building. Overall worth dropping the HHonors pts!
Breakfast is pleasent . Don't miss it!
Do NOT miss breakfast in the restaurant ! They have cook-to-order omelets , coffee , juice , pastries , cereal, eggs , meat, etc. And it's free! Very very cool!!
On the + side: 1) breakfast is off the hook! 2) managers reception pretty damn good, but need better etoh. On the - side: 1) need wireless throught!
Exercise room , heated pool and whirlpool are an added convenient plus. Took advantage of it for most of my stay particularly when it was cold and wet outside.
Great room and even better staff .
Leave the car at home or be prepared to pay about $40 to park overnight. Otherwise nice location.
Nice hotel rooms; walking distance to the convention center
Excellent location to visit DC
Cleaning staff is extremely loud every morning.
Great locatio, happy hr is complementary
They have wireless now. In some rooms you can even connect to AT&T wireless.
Very nice free breakfast .
No cell service in even-numbered rooms, as they face the alley. Not good if you have to work out of the hotel ! But overall great service and HUGE rooms for the price.
As of April 2012, no wi-fi in rooms, just wired. Use wi-fi in lobby if needed.
Room 1531 is huge, great parlor for working or entertaining.
Ask for an odd-numbered room. Even numbers, particularly low ones (-02, -04, -06) face another building and a garbage/ loading dock that is noisy in the early morning.
The best hotel in DC
free cook to order breakfast AND free happy hour every night make this place a WIN!
Big family pkace lots of kids.. .push a kid down the stairs, feel better!
Barbara is wonderful
Very worse cell even on Verizon network. 0 signal in my room unless right by the window
They have a great pool & hot tub !
Be prepared to pay $75.00 per day for incidentals @ check-in on top of your hotel rate .
Great hotel but bad cell service on even numbered rooms.
Terrible stay at this place. Light switch that was sizzeling while the lamp flickered. Maintenance was called & never showed. Then had to change rooms because sewage was backing up in the sink. BEWARE
Agree with Whitney...complimentary cocktails and made-to-order breakfasts are nice touch.
Our room was not ready at check in time. It's very noisy . I can hear people through the vents, which kept me awake all night. Would not recommend staying here if you like sleeping.
Don't use the valet. The night I was there they brought 2 wrong cars before finding mine. But they lost the keys o the guy in front of me.
A very friendly staff but the Hotel need renovation
Free breakfast , free happy hour , what's not to like? Also, some of the older comments are now outdated. The hotel has been renovated and is very nice.
Good bathroom spot while waiting for super late bolt or mega buses .
Cell service is horrible on the even numbered rooms....
Love this hotel
Excellent hotel !
Finn & Porter is horrible (service and food). Too many other good restaurants close by to waste your time
This hotel only has wired internet (~9.99/night).
This place is low class with lousy free food. Avoid if possible.
Needs work. Heat not even working. Loud on floor #2 can't rest. Damn!
Horrible cell phone service in the room.
I've been staying here frequently for 10 years. Consistently the best hotel staff in DC and super convenient location! - John Ward
The breakfast is wonderful! Fresh berries and salmon, yum! - Jeanne Wang F
One of few Marriott Marquis in the world. I'm always partial to Marriotts and this one is no different! Great staff, beautiful rooms, great for conferences, great food, and great drinks. Recommended. - Tessa Merna
The Mango Martini is so good. They also have a spicy version. - Rob Campbell
Tons of history here. The house looks amazing and the grounds are so well kept. - Karen
