Diamond Head Crater

To catch the sunrise, park at the 20 minute lookout juat before the tunnel entrance to the crater. Catch the Sun rise then drive into the crater for the hike up the mountain .

Whether you are in shape or not, give this hike a try. The view is breathtaking. Also, towards the top, take the path to the left, rather than the steep staircase, if you are feeling fatigued.

We we t around 11am. As someone who is in good shape , the hike itself was easy. As someone who's terrified of heights, the climb was very scary with only basic guard rails in most places.

you can buy a trolley ride back for $10 or summon an uber to pick you up at the loop behind the entrance booth .

If you make it to the top, start your trek back down and immediately nearby there are other areas to take your photos to avoid the crowds

Try to get there when they open at 6am as it tends to get crowded fast. Limited parking avail so if you're going after 7am be prepared to wait awhile or find an alternative park area.

The views are amazing! Have some drinking water with you. It gets really hot mid-way up to the top!

In the center, besides the entrance control, there is a parking lot , a souvenir store and a toilet facility.

It looks gorgeous from the airplane, dont raise your expectaions on crater look when you climb up. It looks ordinary. Good Waikiki view tho ????☺️

Awesome views of the top after not easy hike . Lots of stairs and switchbacks. Bring lots of water if it's hot.

Get here early to beat the heat and crowds, and bring plenty of water. It's a fairly easy climb but the incline will tire you.

bring some damn sunscreen SPF 110 preferred..

This "hike " is for extremely new hikers and is always overcrowded. Take Koko Head for a challenge and a much better payoff.

Very touristy . But good for a quick climb (30min up if you're in shape ) and decent view .
