The San Diego Astronomy Association provides free telescope viewing outdoors on the Prado in Balboa Park . This free event is held on the first Wednesday of every month (weather permitting).
Free admission for San Diego County residents, as well as active military + their dependents the 1st Tuesday of each month. Be sure to bring your ID.
My two year old boy likes to play at kid city playroom. only under 5 year old kids are allowed to enter. If you have a kid under 5 year old, then check it out.
This is such a nice museum . They have many different experiments and they have a nice cafe that has really good food.

Don't bother coming on the free entry day for residents on the first Tuesday of every month. It is over crowded , no one watches their kids, and half the exhibits end up broken. Suck it up and pay.
This place is great. I like that they have alot of things for the kids to do. My daughter was mesmerized.

Get in line early. Avoid sitting close to small children. Often they are scared with the gigantic image view .
