Der Französische Dom steht auf dem Gendarmenmarkt, einem der schönsten Plätze Berlins. Er bildet dort ein Bauensemble mit dem Deutschen Dom und dem Schauspielhaus. Der Französische Dom ist ein Kuppelturm, der zwischen 1780 und 1785 an die Französische Friedrichstadtkirche angebaut wurde.
