Baths of Caracalla is a historic and protected site Rome located in Italy.
Viale delle Terme di Caracalla, 52 00153 Rome Latium Italy
The Baths of Caracalla were the second largest Roman public baths, or thermae, built in Rome during the reign of the Emperor Caracalla. The central part is the summer home of the Rome Opera company
Walk the lovely grounds and then go inside and admire the amazing architecture and beautiful mosaics . Also, the bathrooms are great, which is pretty rare for Rome.
Just a few tourists , peaceful quiet and breathtaking. You get a 50% discount with Roma pass. One of my favourite places in Rome.
The audio guide is really educative , don't pass away or you will just look at plain stones. Prepare some cash (11€ w/ Audio Guide ), credit card machine don't always work.
This historic site is also a beautiful park . If you had time to kill, it'd probably be lovely to bring a book and just sit a while after seeing the baths.
The oldest bath in Rome, go and visit this beautiful ruins of the bath and imagine how romans used to go there.
4D glass is recommended! It helps a lot to imagine the place it used to be. The audio guide is just a ???? on the top.
