Visiting in February 2018, the site itself is closed off while restoration goes on. A real shame, ‘cause you can’t really see anything behind the big wall. Hope to one day be able to really visit.
The mausoleum is unfortunately closed to the public but still a majestic sight.
Deteriorating day by day, it's a pity it's not restored already. As far as I can understand there's no visits there at all until restoration is over.
Infine, nel XVII secolo, un anfiteatro di legno viene costruito tutto intorno, trasformando il Mausoleo in arena per le corride.
Un lugar abandonado por la historia y por Roma. Triste que este tipo de edificios sean dejados de lado.
