Had the tantan ramen . Noodles came a bit hard but it actually worked out well bc they cook perfectly in the hot broth. The broth and ground pork were delicious. The chicken karaage was kinda tough tho
Tonkatsu ramen was tasty. Delish broth, noodles well made. Meat was slightly on a tough side, but still good. Chicken karaage was the highlight. Didn't like beef tongue , lovely interior, nice service
"Fatty, delicious, hearty, and exactly what you would want in tonkotsu ramen . This and a cold Kirin , and you are good to go." Chef Adam Tortosa Read more
Step aside Tanpopo, there's a new ramen winner in the hood. Get the tonkotsu , the broth is flavorful without being too salty. Seaweed salad comes with tomatoes and other greenery . Nicer interior too.
This is REALLY good ramen . Tonkatsu with pork belly , don't miss out. Ramen Izakaya Goku and this one are my favorites, and I've tried a lot of them.
The garlic tonkotsu and shoyu ramen were quite delicious. Nice staff and nice interiors too.
Quiet spot for lunch on a weekday. Hearty ramen that isn't out of this world, but good enough to hit the spot on a cold San Francisco summer day.
Amazing spicy ramen . Photographs terribly. Great broth and not super spicy . Chicken kannage is also amazing.
The spicy tan tan noodles are good, but the pork for this meal comes minced , so order an additional side of pork chunks to add more texture.
Get the roasted black garlic ramen ! If you like foie gras , also get the Ankimo monkfish liver - very tasty.
Garlic tonkatsu ramen is good! Sake of the day is a big pour, and fresh garlic to grate at your table.
I need to go back. My first impression is that their Tonkotsu rivals Izakaya Sozai. Get it with extra pork and spicy miso paste!
good tonkotsu , also got some little dumply i think they were called gyosa with wings , was delicious. also has some japanese style fried chicken .
Tonkatsu ramen , the smoked egg , kakuni (pork belly pictured here)
Tonkotsu ramen : the chashu is a little hard ????, smoked egg is yummy though! ????
The ramen is mixed in quality. The pork-broth ramen was fabulous. The chicken broth ramen is smoky & weird tasting.
Getting your ramen deluxe is worth the extra cost. Dipping noodles are also delicious.
Green tea creme brûlée : better reserve it when u order, they runs out quickly! ????????
The tonkotsu deluxe was among the best bowls I've ever had.
Roasted garlic tonkatsu ramen and gyoza . Loved the broth!
The noodles of the Tsukemen ramen is served cold. If you're not into dipping cold noodles in warm broth. I suggest you get one of their regular ramen . Broth was lacking flavor.
Not amazing like Japan, but the best tsukemen I’ve tasted in the city so far.
Get any ramen with pork belly on it; the pork belly is amazing.
Get the green tea creme brûlée . You'll thank me during and after every flavorful spoonful.
Great tasting ramen ! Arrive early or be prepared to wait.
Noodles are a bit undercooked and broth isn't creamy enough (tonkotsu ), but overall one of the more solid options in SF, which severely lacks in the ramen scene.
Great tonkatsu ramen . Good quantity. Ask for extra noodles if your super hungry for $1
Arrived as they opened and the restaurant was full within 10 minutes... so get here early or make a reservation !
Straight up ramen with no frills. Perfect portions and inexpensive .
Salmon Sashimi - amazing.Tsukemen - noodles were plump but only enjoyed a lukewarm bath.Tan tan noodles - warm and spicy but lacking depth. The wait staff were discreet but effective
Get a side of the takoyaki !
Can't always find good Kyushu style tonkotsu ramen . It's delicious here!
tonkatsu ramen deluxe version was great! kinda on the smaller side
Pretty good food. If you want spicy ask for extra spice because it was not as hot as I wanted it
Sashimi and chicken are great. The place is known for ramen but I didn't dig it.
Seaweed salad (S): really good! ????????????
Geso Karage (fried squid legs ): yummy!!! ????????????
No vegetarian or vegan options at all.
The best ramen that I've tasted in SF.
Fresh garlic and garlic crusher on each table
Great tonkotsu ramen and tsukemen
LOVE their smoked egg !!! ????????????????????
Tonkatsu was much better than the shoyu
not a lot of options for non-pork eaters, but the service was good, as were the noodles !
Table side garlic press is a nice touch.
Great ramen , cool decor
Order a side of spicy miso paste with your tonkotsu ramen .
Tons of edamame for only $3.
Deluxe Tonkotsu ramen : yum! ????????????
Very disappointed with the ramen . I had the Tonkotsu Deluxe . Ramen is all about the noodles and the broth. Unfortunately the broth was lukewarm and bland. The pork belly was cold.
Probably my 3rd favorite Ramen spot in SF. Friends and I enjoyed the Ramen and the curry rice dish - Jimmy Lu
their karaage ramen is great and noodles are always the right level of chewy. best ramen in sf - Minjae Lee
Vegan ramen with soy milk broth was a different take on ramen, and I actually really enjoyed it! - Sravanti Tekumalla
Quiet & inspiring space to get sh1t done. The wifi isn't always reliable but the Sweet Potato Latte is a guaranteed love. See all: http://foodmento.com/place/2578 - Jeff Woo
Great to pick up lunch-choose from delish bento boxes, sushi, musubi or seaweed salad. Fresh and healthy! - S C
The friendly neighborhood theater. While it may have lost the pre-AMC era charm, it's still nice. Screens 7 and 8 in particular are fun because they feel like a big home theater, very intimate. - J T
