W Chicago - City Center

The Concierge Pierre is the best in the city , ask him anything he will set up like a Rockstar. We had the luxury of having him as our Concierge last yr when we stayed at the WLakeshore. Tip him well .

Not ideal for weekends-- it's a tad far away from the fun places in river north. Sometimes there are odd mechanical noises. Lauren the bartender is awesome; get the van gough espresso vodka shot.

Great location! Cool set up. Elevators will trip you out! Great place to stay if you are in your 20s and 30s. Very close to train stop!

Hotel room was a bit smaller than expected but it works just fine for the 2 nights. The room was super clean , the lobby was gorgeous! The gents out front will hail cabs for you. Great hotel overall!!

One of my favorite hotels . Very trendy lobby & bar downstairs (disco balls!). Friendly staff . Very spacious rooms versus other W's I've stayed at. Good location.

The bartenders are quite skilled at dealing with the masses of business types. A bit low-key compared to other W's I've stayed at, and most shops and restaurants right nearby close early.

A beautiful hotel from the moment you walk in. It has that art-deco feeling, but the block has a homeless draw that can get off-putting, or downright unsettling.

Wonderful hotel - clean room - great location. The only disadvantage was they don't provide free wifi !

Not only the hotel , but the lounge that spills into the lobby has become a staple. Amazing vibe and the perfect setting to unwind with friends while the liquor and conversation flow.

Ask for a newer room

Nice hotel but this 200$ incidentals charge is ridiculous as it takes 10 days to go back into your account. With a UK card too I get charged for both transactions!

Spacious , comfortable rooms but the entire property is showing its age. Hopefully Marriott swoops in with an update soon.

They definitely want to make sure they have what you want when you want it. Included in the snack bar was a box with condoms, lubricant and gum...#beprepared

The staff go out of their way to provide the best service they can. The "Acura Experience" needs to extend their hours. No Bliss Spa so go to the JW Marriott across the street.

You can order room service from the IPO menu, in addition to In Room Dining.

Great hotel lobby to work out of downtown. They have free coffee in the lobby.

Try the tomato soup that is on the menu - it is wonderfully comforting and served at the right temperature

Don't hesitate to ask for late check out...they also have a promo with Acura , usually can schedule a ride (only a drop off, but still) instead of taxis/the L

Nice, clean rooms but the city view is limited

Didn’t feel like a W hotel , plus, I didn’t feel titanium treatment. Lollapalooza weekend, public restrooms , are dirtier than the ones at the festival .

Rooms are cool as long as you are not claustrophobic! Nice lobby living room. They really took care of me after late arriving flight with good meal served in the moving room lobby.

I expect more from a W. Dislike: the lack of water pressure in the bathroom , the ultra-sensitive temperature-swinging sink, and even something as simple as the walls being painted plain off-white. Boo

Clean hotel in great area. Very close to public transit.

Good sized rooms. Really weird lobby seems to not utilize the space well , but room quality made up for it. Hood is not the most active

The girl at the front desk upgraded us with a view of the courtyard . There is NO courtyard !

In "the loop"--walking distance to Starbucks/24hr Dunkin Donuts & quick sandwich shops

The in-room massage was amazing. Schedule an appointment and they show up at your room and take care of everything.

Couch in room was stained in 3 places. No coffee in lobby as advertised at 8am. Bed was very comfy though and room was nice. Lobby bar was great.

Rooms are a little small, but the atmosphere makes up for it and more.

It's nice n comfortable but hotel doesn't have hotel parking which sucks which cost $55 a night.

Awesome tip from Allen at the front desk - signing up for the Magic program gets you an extra 500points/night towards your SPG card!

Great concierge service here.. Ask for Eden..for restaurant tips and events around town . She knows her stuff!

IPO restaurant has amazing Nutella French Toast for breakfast ! (hit up sweat to avoid the guilt trip)

I love how no matter how long I've been away, this still feels like home. Humberto, Tree , and Jaime are wonderful!!!

Lobby is a bit too dark. Don't walk in with your shades on. :-)

Don't get the wonder room unless your a small person and alone.

Vanessa at the concierge desk is amazing at her job! Very detail oriented and friendly !

Beautiful hotel , put parking rates are crazy for over six hours $55.00 dollars geesh!!

Bring earplugs and an eye mask if you're a light sleeper. The rooms don't black out and there's a train that runs right through your hotel room every 10 minutes.

The elevators can tell time.

Best service you'll ever receive. Do not pass up an opportunity to stay at a W.
