One of my favorite pubs in London and one that I always take visitors to. Be sure to go all the way in to see the inner room with the marble and the friars. Proper ales on tap as well .

Tony Smith

One of the best beer selection including US Blue Moon. Pub food is just fine yet burgers are really tasty. Very convenient location and great outdoor sitting area. A must visit place.

Jack Jenkins

Good selection of spirits . Always a small selection of ales on rotation. I like the beer garden they have outside the front as there is plenty of room

Patrick Smith

A superb pub in the heart of London: historic, atmospheric, great beers . Food is OK but the look and feel of the place is something else.

Bilge U

Lively place at the heart of the city . Open air tables are nice but a bit noisy because of the road . And open even on Sunday until 22.30

Margot West

Great burgers , excellent beef rib & chicken pies and fantastic atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit even if just to have a look around this art nouveau masterpiece!

Todd Green

A good recommendation from my dad - very unusual art nouveau decor , an extensive selection of beers , and a fine view of the upper parts of the South Bank when you stand outside.

Chris

Cask ales were on point. It was so crowded I had to sit outside in the middle of winter but didn't care. Definitely a lot of locals here too

Jacques

Opposite London Blackfriars station; has an outside area for eating and drinking. It was built around 1875 and gets very crowded in the evenings

J FB

Quirky little pub . Outside area is very good for watching the City fly by, if you can get a table in Summer!

Shane B

Well worth a visit for good beer and interesting architecture inside. Can get very busy but does have some outdoor seating .

Colin Mercer

A triumph of Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts Movement style inside and out, 1905. Great pub and a good menu too!

Finn B

Very nice pub with interesting - kind of religious - interior. And great beer .. cheers ????

M.G. Siegler

Cheeseburger is solid. As are the beers . Great decor.

Derek Wilson

Charming old pub that's a good place to start an Olde London pub crawl. Good luck to ya! ????

Phil Clamp

Great old fashioned pub with seating outside . Good for after work drinks, usually busy though.

Kris Covo

A literal sliver of a tavern near Blackfriars bridge , offering a good selection of beers from the cask and a selection of seasonal specialties . Dark and cozy , with wood carvings of cheeky friars.

HISTORY UK

This pub takes its monastic theme from the Dominican priory which once stood here. The elaborate and witty decorations date from 1904 and make this a unique London watering hole.

Steve Piper

Great London boozer with a good choice of ales & handy for The station!

Iraida Zakharevich

Very nice pub . A lot of people, but there is a place outside.

Const Ht

The little flat iron of London. Like a dollhouse with tasty beers !

It says wait to be seated but this is a pub so just order at the bar and sit wherever

Been here a couple times before. Had to leave this time as it was super busy and the drains were causing a little stink ????
