Matterhorn Bobsleds

If you prefer a gentler ride, choose the right-hand track (when facing the mountain at the ride turnstiles). The left track has more small drops and jerks you around a little more. Both are good!!

You should ride at least twice (once from each load side). Different tracks ! Fast pass available, and you can do single riders at the green awning to avoid long lines .

Matterhorn has a single rider line available that can provide a significantly shorter wait time, but you'll be split up from your group. Ask for a single rider pass at the ride entrance.

Grab a fast pass to Star Tours on the way there first thing in the morning. You will have a short wait and time to hit one or two quick early-admittance rides like Pirates or Buzz before Star Tours .

The left side of the ride is more intense... But ends with a splash that gets you more wet than Splash Mountain or Grizzly River ! Take the right side if you want to be dry!

Awesome ride! I loved the yetti's! It was pretty rocky but overall a low thrill roller coaster . Recommend to roller coaster lovers.

An ABSOLUTE CLASSIC. Ride this roller coaster first, as the lines get long quick, and this one is EXCLUSIVE to Disneyland!

While not AT the ride, the Matterhorn macaroon is one of my favorite treats.

Hold on for deer life. This ride is old and the scariest part is thinking you are going to fall off!

Be sure to stand up when the drop comes, its named dolly's dip based on a women who got beheaded standing like a dumb bitch, you could be next, make sure you think of a clever name for your death dip

This ride will whip you around like a rag doll. Get yourself well situated before the ride starts or you'll end up with bruises.

Vastly improved experience. Not as spine shattering as it used to be.

A one-of-a-kind original. This is an absolute must do, if not for the ride then for nostalgia...

Left side has a lot of twists and dips that are fun. It does jerk you around a bit so be prepared for that.

The "Battered Relationship Simulator". I always leave this ride feeling beat up

love this ride,go early when not as crowded ,or go at night for night time effect.

Pretty rough ride. Be sure to watch out for smaller riders who’s heads may sway back and forth more than adults.

The line is incredibly long but it's exclusive to Disneyland and can be very fun.

Great improvement over the years although I kind of miss the original snow monsters.

The Matterhorn Bobsleds attraction is the first tubular steel track roller coaster ever constructed . Enjoy your ride on a world-famous landmark !

I've read some comments on here about looking for the Bball court while you're riding this attraction . It's impossible. It's not in public view . I know, I worked the attraction .

Ask to sit in the front of the car if you want the easiest time climbing in and out of the of the cars.

Since the remodel in June 2012, I'd have to say the right side is a bit more scary then the left side, but the left goes faster for sure.

If you're by yourself, go up to a cast member, and ask about the "single rider line ." It'll cut down your wait.

Also, yes one side is faster then the other due to the sloping angel. It's old but well worth your trip to see MM. Don't forget to say hi to Harold.

The Matterhorn line that wraps around the Tomorrowland side is usually shorter. Also the left track is a faster ride than the right.

Ride will be closing January 10th,2012 due to renovations on the new bobsleds that will be put in. They will feature new head rests and other safe gear. Ride will reopen in the summer of June 2012.

Very fun ride. A must do at Disney.

Help a Cast Member out... Please know how many people are in your group and how you will be sitting before you get to the front of the line . It saves everyone time and a headache.

Single-rider line generally gets you right on.

Go to the line on the left for the faster track ! It's bumpier if you ride in the back.

Save yourself time and use the single rider line , since they remodeled the bobsleds, you're technically a single rider anyway!

The left track is waaaaay better than the right, ask to go on that one!

Watch out for yetis! This ride is also 100x scarier at night because the light/dark contrasts aren't as much of a giveaway.

Ask the attendant at the front of the line to get to the single rider line and spend a few mins instead of 20!

They sell pork shanks across from the ride.. One of the best foods in the park !

The track closest to fantasy land is the scariest. It is closest to the edge.

Great ride, the left side is the better side.

This ride is slow and really rough. If there's a line , go towards the front and ask for a Single Rider ticket.

One of the longer lines but can be worth it.

Go up to the front person and tell them you are a single rider. You have to split up but they basically usher you to the next sled

If you are a small to medium sized person, make sure to ride in the car with someone. If not the ride really beats you up. Oh and someone you know. It's practically lap sitting.

Oh!! 1 mire thing. Listen to cast members helping you out. Remember they're helping you and guests can be a pain in the @$$!!

Be a single rider and you get to skip the huge line . I've rode it three times today already!

1st ever fatality (64') was when a teen stood up on and fell out.In 1984, a woman was thrown from the ride and hit by an oncoming bobsled. Both had seat belts unfastened.

Rickety as all get out. Great theming and decor, but not recommended if you have even a hint of neck or back trouble.

Caution: For whatever reason the left side rides much rougher. And you get wet!
