Absolute must-do if visiting the Park ! For the love of everything that is good, do NOT take flash photos & speak up if someone is! The Imagineers craft perfectly lit scenes and the flash ruins them!
Amazing what they put together - you ride in a boat inside the building and it seems really long so definetly don't miss this ride!
If the line is really long, (has you waiting outside the footbridge) choose the right hand lane when it splits. You won't have to wait around the side of the building that way. :) Have a magical day!
Line always moves fast. Sit in front. Keep eyes open for Capt Jack thru out ride. Plan ahead and book lunch/dinner at Blue Bayou within ride.
One of the tamest rides in the park . Make sure you're paying close attention - the storyline is easily missed otherwise. Keep an eye out for Jack Sparrow !
AN ABSOLUTE MUST. This Pirates is MUCH different and MUCH better than Walt DisneyWorld's. if you have time, Eat at Blue Bayou restaurant inside. It's great!
One of the best rides at Disney land, hands down. Worth the hour wait that's it's probably going to be for you.
You really really really want to take the right line , especially when the wait is long. The left side has a whole extra wait behind the ride. You will think they've taken you out back to mug you.
Charming and a must do. The Jack Sparrow stuff though looks out of place with the classic Pirates.
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me. We extort, we pilfer, we filch, and sack, Drink up me hearties, yo ho. Maraud and embezzle, and even high-jack, Drink up me hearties, yo ho.
Great ride on a hot day. You'll be in the sun for a bit during the first part of the line , but you'll cool off A LOT inside and on the ride
The ride may not be suitable for little ones. The boat ride has two drops that are in the dark. The whole thing had my 5 year old in tears. It scared the heck out of her, very Unexpectedly.
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me. We're beggars and blighters, ne'er-do-well cads, Drink up me hearties, yo ho. Aye, but we're loved by our mommies and dads, Drink up me hearties, yo ho.
Fun, relaxing ride. One of the better dark rides in the park . I do wish they'd cut back some of the Jack Sparrow content, though.
The story goes that the skull used for the dead pirate captain in bed is the only real skull on the ride. The Mellon of one of the ride's creators.
Just as the ride begins there is a cabin to the left of the boat with an alligator in the water. Just past the gator are floating lily pads in a recognizable Mickey shape.
Club 33 is located right over here you can't go wrong Disney's A investment buy their stocks buy an annual passport and support the love
Always a must for any Disneyland trip. I love how it smells in this ride. It smells like happiness. Trust me on this one.
Always fun, but a nice cool down ride if it's particularly hot out. Don't use flash!
Always a fun ride! Great for little kids and a fun way to relax if you've been running around the parks .
When the line splits take the right side . It moves faster. The hidden Mickey is the dangling explosives towards the end
Lines are usually pretty long throughout the day, wait till almost park close to ride and it will be near walk on.
Go on this ride later in the day. I went on it around 7 at night and the line was no longer than 10 or 15 minutes. Also, the ride was slower at this time and there was more fog in one of the sections.
The one and only. They've done a good job of integrating the movies while keeping the classic vibe. Yo ho yo ho!
Look for the (now mostly hidden behind a pile of crates) picture of history's most famous lesbians - Anne Bonney & Mary Reade - just inside the building entrance to the left.
Don't just bang randomly on the door like a fool. Proper etiquette is to knock "shave and a haircut " and let the other side finish the "two bits." Or if other side starts, you finish.
My favorite ride. Be prepared for a good time on this and if you love the Pirates movies , you will love this.
Best ride for me bar none...lost count how many times I have been on this ride...I find something new every time! :-)
There is no fast pass line (at least not right now) so don’t even try. Right side of the queue is usually faster.
If u have hyper kids, have someone from ur party stay in line and stay to the right when the line splits while u and the kids stay by Royal St Veranda and wait. Hop in with them when they get there.
Still one of my favorite rides even though the addition of Captain Jack Sparrow changes the intended theme.
A true Disney classic. Don't skip it! The line is always long but moves quickly
The skull and bones on the headboard of the bed with the skeleton looking at a magnifying glass is an imagineer who helped design the ride.
Hidden Mickey : Right as the ride is going to end. Look down at Jacks feet. The locket is a hidden Mickey .
Please don't take your phone out during the ride, Facebook, instagram, pint rest etc.. can wait. Let others enjoy the ride! :)
Nice calm way to keep cool under the hot sun! It's really dark and air conditioned ! Awesome life size moving figures
Usually a fast line , you'll get a lil wet and see a bunch of wenches and pirates
Always go to the right side line , it's shorter!!!
Although it's highly unlikely, you may get wet on this ride. <aclass="entity url"rel="nofollow" href="http://la.travelivery.com"target="_blank" data-sig="hT83gWa8PrY106SeXZdEfZIH/tw=" onmousedown="fourSq.ui.OutgoingLink.mousedown($(this), event)" data-source="tip-text">http://la.travelivery.com</a>
Early in the morning the wait can be very short , as the day progresses ... expect long waits . Old timers, hit this early and move on. ;)
There's a real skull that's still part of one of the props from the original design.
There is a restaurant in this ride! And apparently one human skull too.
Always the ride you must go on when visiting Disneyland.
Yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me! Good place to cool down. The line to the right goes quicker
Excellent anamatronics! Lots of the new anamatronic tech is tested in this ride
The skull and crossbones on the skeleton captain's headboard are real human bones.
So much better than the DisneyWorld version! I could have rode it over and over. Oh wait, I did!
Take the line to the right when under the bridge , its faster..
When you get to the last scene of the ride. The barrels hanging form a Hidden Mickey .
Prepare to wait, but worth every minute.... One of my favorites.
Always charming and a must do if you haven’t been there. I prefer the old style to the Halloween set up though. - Jason H.
The Tesoro Island Chicken is delicious! The salads are good too! - Gestina
The wine list is amazing. Food is amazing and everything you'd expect from a fine dining restaurant. Service is impeccable. - Sean Macready
Awesome ride! I loved the yetti's! It was pretty rocky but overall a low thrill roller coaster. Recommend to roller coaster lovers. - Laur Lo Ski
Great starter roller coaster for kids seeking a little bit more than a kiddie ride. - Brett Salzer
Classic Disney attraction that continues to stand the test of time! I would recommend using the Genie option on this ride since the line gets long. Don’t miss it! - Michael Morgan
Enjoyable adventure ride! Get the fast pass. Line is incredibly long and the ride is not worth a long wait but it is a must in your Disneyland experience. - Greg Coleman
Roast beef is excellent, vinaigrette amazing and Michelle always TOO sweet! - Maudie Earl
So fun, great way to cool off. Super long line during the summer days, so i would go at night. Sit in the front and you get soaked (like me :)) - ʗɑrsօɳ ♫ ϻყєrs
